International – We are people who asking God to remind us that He is not the God of one race, region, or economic class. Realizing that we serve a global God, we are inviting the Lord to build a little slice of heaven this side of eternity. We are praying and working to allow the Lord to bring us a variety of races, and ethnic groups from all parts of the world and all economic conditions. We want to be a “trophy case of grace,” as others look at this body and say to themselves, “Now, God is truly doing something beautiful among those people.” We are asking the Lord to take us to the world and to bring the peoples of the world to us.
Zephaniah 3:9—"For then I will give to the peoples purified lips, That all of them may call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him shoulder to shoulder.
Fellowship – We are a church, “a called-out assembly.” Sadly, most people in our culture think of a church as a building. Certainly there are some extremely impressive structures that were erected to bring glory to God, yet the Bible clearly asserts that the church IS NOT the building; the church is the people. The Greek word for fellowship (koinonia) suggests partnership in life and cause. We share in the life of Christ together, and we seek to take that life to others through discipleship (the building up of believers) and evangelism (the sharing of the good news of salvation).
Philemon 1:6—...and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ's sake.
We are far from perfect people, which is great because God saves the unworthy not the religiously accomplished. Spend time with us, and you will know that. We're people on a glorious journey into the arms of Christ. Sometimes we are not even as consistent as we should be. But we think you will find us to be genuine strugglers in what can be a very challenging world. We have touched the face of God, and we are grateful. We won't quit, we won't shrink back. We will get up over and over as the Bible says we will. We will make things right with those we've hurt, and we seek to share the forgiving grace of Jesus Christ with others.
